In the “Tre Caleidocicli” for instrumental group (1991), the “Ottotonico” first one for 8 instruments is harmonically built upon the (0,1,3,4,7,9) chord; hence there develops a five-voice canon with tritone entries, while one independent voice develops the tone-semitone (octotonic) scale. The transposition grades form a three-figure series: 4-2-3.

The “Cromatico” second one, for 8 instruments, is built canonically upon a  (0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) chromatic eight- sound chord . The transposition grades form a series of 21 figures (1-2-11-3-10-4-9-5-8-6-7-7-6-8-5-9-4-10-3-11-2) given by the intersection of all the intervals in a rising order and of all the intervals in a descending order, developing upon three 7/8 measures. The 8 voices expose a canon of which the entries are at the inferior semitone.

 

The “Sintetico” third one, for two 6-instrument groups, is built upon two different six-note chords: (0,1,3,4,7,9,) and (0,1,3,5,7,9). The 6 voices of the first group unfold a inverted canon to the other 6; the canon entries are placed inversely along the axis of an augmented triad. The transposition grades form a series of six figures (6-3-1-7-11-4), deriving from the common-notes among the chord transpositions.
